Ezgi Çelik — Biography

Ezgi Çelik was born on 6 August 1984 in Istanbul. She began acting as a child, playing the character Çocuk Havva in the 1992 production Düş Gezginleri. She trained at the State Conservatory's Theatre Department at Mimar Sinan University and later also worked as a playwright and translator.

As an adult she continued her screen career with the 2007 series Kara Yılan, followed by roles in Asi, Gurbet Kuşları, Bu Kalp Seni Unutur Mu?, Bir Çocuk Sevdim, Şubat, Mavi Ring and Ben de Özledim. After appearing in Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem in 2015, she reached a wide audience in 2017 playing Captain Songül opposite Tolga Sarıtaş in the Star TV series Söz.

In 2020 she played the character Nadire in the series Maria ile Mustafa, and alongside her theatre and translation work she continues to take on new projects.
