Andon Kafecopulos — Biography

Andon Kafecopulos, known internationally as Antonis Kafetzopoulos, is a Greek actor, director, and screenwriter born in Istanbul on October 13, 1951. Active on screen since 1980, he has built a filmography of more than fifty films and became one of the recognizable faces of Greek cinema.

He received two Hellenic Film Academy Awards for his performances in Plato's Academy and Unfair World, and also won the best actor prize at the San Sebastián International Film Festival for Unfair World. He reached a wider audience through the television series Kai oi Pantremenoi Ehoun Psyhi, broadcast from 1997 to 2000, and appeared over the years in productions such as Dracula of Exarcheia, Two Turkish Eggs, My Best Friend, Poker Face, and Tritos Orofos.
