You Won't Have Alsace-Lorraine

You Won't Have Alsace-Lorraine is a 1977 French-Belgian comedy directed by Coluche together with Marc Monnet. A parody of historical epics and swashbuckling adventures, it stars Coluche alongside Anémone and Gérard Lanvin, with Christian Clavier and Roland Giraud also appearing. The title comes from a line of the 1871 French patriotic song Alsace et Lorraine, yet the story has nothing to do with either region — in the period depicted, those lands were not yet part of France. The film fared poorly at the box office and remains the only feature Coluche ever directed.
