Estimate (Tahmine) (translated)
Tahmine (Azerbaijani: Təhminə), also known abroad as Tahmina and Zaur, is a 1993 Azerbaijani melodrama directed by Rasim Ocakov and scripted by the writer Anar from his own 1970s novel The Sixth Floor of a Five-Storey Building. Set against a conservative backdrop, it follows the affair between Zaur, who comes from a well-off family, and Tahmine, a divorced woman struggling to make her own way — a film often ranked among the strongest Azerbaijani productions of its decade and financed in part by a Turkish businessman. A stage adaptation later ran in 2001 at Istanbul's İBB City Theatres under director Can Doğan.
