Son Akın
Son Akın is a 1982 Turkish historical film directed by Yılmaz Atadeniz. It is adapted from the novel of the same name by Bekir Büyükarkın, with a screenplay by Turgut Özakman, one of the best-known names in Turkish literature and theatre. The story is set in the Ottoman era. The film is one of two historical productions Atadeniz shot in 1982 with essentially the same company of actors, the other being Kanije Kalesi. It stars Cüneyt Arkın, the performer most closely identified with Turkish historical and action cinema, alongside Muhterem Nur and Yavuz Selekman. The film belongs to the period in which Yeşilçam turned towards tales of historical heroism.
