Revenge of the Barbarians

Revenge of the Barbarians (Italian: La vendetta dei barbari) is a 1960 Italian historical film directed by Giuseppe Vari and written by Gastone Ramazzotti. Running about 105 minutes, the film dramatizes the sack of Rome in AD 410 by the Visigoths. Shot in Italian, it belongs to the wave of historical adventure productions that flourished in Italy during the early 1960s.

The cast includes Daniela Rocca, Anthony Steel, Robert Alda, José Greci, Mario Scaccia, Evi Marandi, Arturo Dominici and Cesare Fantoni, with Sal Borgese and Nello Pazzafini also appearing in the film. In international releases the picture circulated under several alternate titles, among them the French La Vengeance des Barbares and the German Kampf um Rom.
