Quo Vadis, Aida?

Quo Vadis, Aida? is a 2020 internationally co-produced war drama written and directed by Jasmila Žbanić. Adapted from Under the UN Flag, the book by Srebrenica survivor Hasan Nuhanović, the film was made by twelve production companies from countries including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany and France, and premiered in the main competition of the 77th Venice Film Festival.

The film portrays the July 1995 Srebrenica genocide, in which Serb forces under Ratko Mladić killed more than 8,300 Bosniak men and boys, through the eyes of Aida Selmanagić, a former teacher working as a UN interpreter who struggles to save her husband and two sons while carrying out her duties. Jasna Đuričić plays Aida. Nominated for Best International Feature Film at the 93rd Academy Awards, the film won four European Film Awards, including Best Film.
