Massacre Time

Massacre Time (original Italian title Le colt cantarono la morte e fu... tempo di massacro) is a 1966 Italian Spaghetti Western directed and produced by Lucio Fulci, who would later become celebrated as a master of horror cinema. The film stars Franco Nero and George Hilton, with a supporting cast that includes Nino Castelnuovo and Sal Borgese. One of Fulci's few forays into the western genre, it is regarded today as a minor classic and one of the stronger entries in the Spaghetti Western cycle, noted for an unusually dark and mysterious atmosphere that sets it apart from many of its contemporaries. The screenplay was written by Fernando Di Leo.
