Law of Men

The Law of Men (La loi des hommes) is a 1962 French crime film directed by Charles Gérard. The story begins with a carefully planned robbery targeting an armoured car. The police officer assigned to investigate the case crosses paths with a female journalist who specializes in criminology. As their relationship develops, he starts to suspect that she may have played a part in the heist herself, and the inquiry becomes entangled with his personal feelings. The film stars Micheline Presle, Philippe Leroy and Pierre Mondy, supported by a cast that includes Jacques Monod, Robert Dalban, Marcel Dalio and Michel Constantin. Blending police procedural elements with romantic tension, the picture runs roughly ninety minutes.
