Lady Winsley

Lady Winsley (French title: Qui a tué Lady Winsley ?, "Who Killed Lady Winsley?") is a 2019 black comedy mystery directed by Hiner Saleem, produced as a co-production between France, Turkey and Belgium.

The story opens when Lady Winsley, an American novelist and investigative journalist, is found dead on Büyükada, one of the Princes' Islands near Istanbul. A police commissioner is sent from the city to solve the murder and, aided by Azra, the woman who runs the hotel where he is staying, begins digging into the lives of the islanders. He soon discovers a small, insular community that keeps its secrets well, where silence, taboos, ethnic tensions and long-standing traditions stand between him and the truth. As nearly every resident becomes a potential suspect, the investigation turns into a wry, often comic portrait of a closed society reluctantly opening its doors to an outsider.

The cast features Mehmet Kurtuluş, Ezgi Mola, Ahmet Uz, Mesut Akusta, Ergun Kuyucu, Şenay Gürler, Turgay Aydın and Korkmaz Aslan.
