La Totale!

La Totale! is a French spy comedy from 1991, directed by Claude Zidi and featuring Thierry Lhermitte, Miou-Miou, Eddy Mitchell and Michel Boujenah. Lhermitte plays a man leading two parallel lives: around his family he comes across as a dull office employee, while in truth he works as an undercover operative. Tired of their routine marriage, his wife drifts toward a charming swindler who boasts of being a secret agent. Once the husband discovers what is going on, he turns the tools of his real profession against the impostor, dragging his wife and her phony lover into a whirlwind adventure far beyond anything they expected. The picture opened in France on December 18, 1991. It later inspired James Cameron's 1994 Hollywood action comedy True Lies.
