La grosse caisse
La grosse caisse is a 1965 French heist film directed by Alex Joffé. The story follows a ticket puncher in the Paris Métro who dabbles in writing but is repeatedly turned down by every publisher he approaches. Hoping to turn rejection into literary fame, he passes his fictional hold-up story on to real gangsters, counting on their success to make his name as an author. Running 105 minutes, the film features Bourvil, Paul Meurisse, Françoise Deldick and Roger Carel, alongside Tsilla Chelton, Dominique Zardi, Jacques Legras and Paul Bisciglia. Director Alex Joffé himself also appears on screen in the cast.
