Retenez Moi...Ou Je Fais Un Malheur
Retenez Moi...Ou Je Fais Un Malheur is a 1984 French comedy written and directed by Michel Gérard. American comedian Jerry Lewis takes the leading role in one of his rare European productions from the later part of his career, joined by Michel Blanc, Charlotte de Turckheim, Dominique Zardi, Jacques Legras, Michel Peyrelon, Jackie Sardou, Maurice Risch and Mylène Demongeot. Made as a co-production between Gaumont and TF1 Films Production, the picture reached French cinemas on 11 January 1984 through Gaumont's distribution arm. It never received a wide international rollout and was shown only in Europe, appearing in markets such as Germany and Spain under different local titles. At roughly ninety minutes, the film remains a fairly obscure entry in both Gérard's body of work and Lewis's late filmography, remembered mainly for pairing the American star's comic persona with a French cast and crew.
