Birds Like Us (Kuşlar Bizim Gibi)

Birds Like Us (Bosnian: Ptice kao mi; Turkish: Kuşlar Bizim Gibi) is a 2017 animated fantasy adventure film directed by Faruk Šabanović and Amela Ćuhara. The first feature-length computer-animated film from Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is a loose adaptation of Fariduddin Attar's mystical poem The Conference of the Birds. Produced by Prime Time with a budget of around 7.5 million Euros, the project also drew 3 million Euros from the Turkish broadcaster TRT.

The film premiered on 5 May 2017 at the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film in Germany and, without a general theatrical release outside festivals, aired on Turkish television via TRT on 16 October 2018. It features "Everybird", a song Peter Gabriel composed for the film that also appears on his album Rated PG. The voice cast includes Alicia Vikander, Jeremy Irons, Jim Broadbent and Sheridan Smith. Critics gave the film mixed responses, faulting its visual incoherence while others found it distinctive and ultimately hopeful.
