Empire of the Wolves (Kurtlar İmparatorluğu)

Empire of the Wolves (French: L'Empire des loups) is a 2005 French crime thriller adapted from Jean-Christophe Grangé's novel of the same name. Directed by Chris Nahon and produced by Gaumont, the film was written by Christian Clavier, Grangé, Nahon and Franck Ollivier, and stars Jean Reno, Arly Jover and Jocelyn Quivrin. It marked the second Grangé adaptation headlined by Reno and was released on 20 April 2005.

Anna Heymes, the wife of a senior Interior Ministry official, has been suffering for over a month from terrifying hallucinations and memory lapses so severe that she no longer recognizes her own husband's face. Meanwhile, in Paris's 10th arrondissement, young detective Paul Nerteaux investigates the brutal murders of three women of Turkish origin who worked in clandestine workshops. To infiltrate the neighborhood's Turkish community, he turns to Jean-Louis Schiffer, a former colleague notorious as a ruthless and corrupt cop. As the two parallel stories converge, an organization tied to the Turkish mafia emerges behind the killings. Some scenes were shot in Istanbul and Cappadocia.
