The Broken Pots (Kırık Çanaklar)

Kırık Çanaklar (The Broken Pots) is a 1960 Turkish drama film directed by Memduh Ün. Adapted for the screen by Halit Refiğ and Lale Oraloğlu from a stage play by Edmund Morris, the roughly 80-minute production stands among the notable Turkish films of its era.

The film was entered into the 11th Berlin International Film Festival, making it one of the Turkish works to represent the country abroad at the time. Starring Lale Oraloğlu and Turgut Özatay in the leading roles, it is remembered as a distinguished example of early 1960s Turkish cinema thanks to its festival selection and literary source.
