Kerim's Ordeal (Kerim'in Çilesi) (translated)

Kerim'in Çilesi is a black-and-white Turkish feature film made in 1947, belonging to the early period of the country's cinema. It was directed by Ferdi Tayfur, who also appears among the performers, from a screenplay by Selami İzzet Sedes, with music composed by Necati Tokyay. The film blends comedy with musical elements.

Produced by İpek Film and shot by cinematographer Cezmi Ar, the picture features a cast that includes Nevin Seval, Mümtaz Ener, Cahit Irgat, Aliye Rona, Cevat Kurtuluş and Hulusi Kentmen, all familiar faces of the era.
