Kara Murat vs. Sheikh Gaffar (Kara Murat Şeyh Gaffar'a Karşı) (translated)

Kara Murat Şeyh Gaffar'a Karşı is a Turkish-Italian costume action film and part of the series adapted from the comic-strip hero created by journalist and cartoonist Rahmi Turan. Directed by Natuk Baytan and Ernst Hofbauer from a screenplay by Erdoğan Tünaş and Fuat Özlüer, the Erler Film production features music by Italian composer Piero Piccioni and cinematography by Çetin Gürtop. It was released in Turkey in 1977 and reached Italian cinemas the following year.

The story follows Mehmed the Conqueror, whose envoys are imprisoned by Sheikh Gaffar, the defiant ruler of Muşar Castle. When a military siege fails, the Sultan sends his Janissary spy Kara Murat to free the captives and uncover the secret behind Gaffar's resistance. Cüneyt Arkın stars as Kara Murat, the role he played throughout the series, alongside Daniela Giordano, Turgut Özatay, Kadir Savun, Yıldırım Gencer, Necla Fide, Atilla Ergün and Yadigar Ejder.
