Kara Murat: Fatih'in Fedaisi (Kara Murat Fatih'in Fedaisi)

Kara Murat: Fatih'in Fedaisi is a 1972 Turkish historical adventure film directed by Natuk Baytan and produced by Erler Film. It is the first screen adventure of Kara Murat, the character played by Cüneyt Arkın, and it launched a series that would continue in the following years.

The story begins after the conquest of Constantinople, when Vlad, the ruthless ruler of Wallachia, raids Turkish villages and brutally kills Ottoman soldiers. Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror marches on Bucharest and the city falls, but Kara Murat's captive brother is murdered, and his thirst for revenge never fades. Years later, having grown into a superb warrior, Kara Murat is sent to Bucharest on a secret mission to find the sultan's missing envoys and seize a military pact between Wallachia and Hungary. Posing as a raider who has betrayed the Ottomans, he gets close to Vlad, survives a death trap when his true identity is exposed, and falls deeply in love with a young woman named Angela. In the end he takes his revenge on the voivode and completes his mission.

The cast features Cüneyt Arkın alongside Hale Soygazi, Turgut Özatay, Erol Taş and Atilla Ergün.
