Honig im Kopf

Honig im Kopf (English: Head Full of Honey) is a 2014 German tragicomedy directed by Til Schweiger, who co-wrote the screenplay with Hilly Martinek and also played one of the leading roles. The other leads are Emma Schweiger and Dieter Hallervorden, with supporting appearances by Jan Josef Liefers, Fahri Yardım, Mehmet Kurtuluş and Tilo Prückner. Its title is a metaphor used by the protagonist to describe what it feels like to forget everything. The film had its world premiere on 15 December 2014 and opened in German cinemas on 25 December 2014.

It became the season's box-office leader in Germany, drawing more than seven million cinema-goers and earning the German Film Award for the film with the highest number of visitors. It was also one of eight films shortlisted by Germany as its submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards, though it ultimately lost out to Labyrinth of Lies.
