Hasip and Nasip (Hasip ile Nasip)

Hasip ile Nasip is a 1976 Turkish comedy directed by Atıf Yılmaz from a screenplay by Umur Bugay, with Memduh Ün serving as producer. The leads are played by the celebrated comic pairing of Zeki Alasya and Metin Akpınar.

The story unfolds around two affluent families in a small town who are locked in a long-standing rivalry. When two young men come home after completing their military service, the death of their fathers during a pilgrimage pushes them into a contest for the town's mayoral office. Their feud escalates further once a woman called Perihan arrives, and the situation develops in ways neither of them anticipated.

Alongside the two stars, who each take on more than one character, the ensemble features Güngör Bayrak, Şevket Altuğ, and İhsan Yüce. The picture belongs to the classic Yeşilçam tradition of using humor to poke fun at the political and social climate of its era.
