Cop or Hood

Cop or Hood (original title: Flic ou voyou) is a 1979 French-Italian crime, action and comedy film directed by Georges Lautner, loosely based on Michel Grisolia's novel L'Inspecteur de la mer. Jean-Paul Belmondo stars, alongside performers such as Marie Laforêt, Michel Galabru, Georges Géret and Claude Brosset.

The story follows police officer Stanislas Borovitch, known for his fast and unorthodox methods. Sent to Nice to investigate the murder of an apparently corrupt commissioner, Borovitch changes his identity to that of a criminal named Antonio Cerutti, aiming to trigger a gang war between the city's two major crime organizations. The 107-minute film was produced by Cerito Films.
