Austerlitz

Austerlitz is a 1960 historical drama film directed by Abel Gance and co-produced by France, Italy and Yugoslavia. The epic portrays Napoleon Bonaparte's victory at the Battle of Austerlitz, along with the French emperor's love affairs and early military triumphs. Pierre Mondy stars as Napoleon, while Leslie Caron plays his mistress Élisabeth Le Michaud d'Arçon.

Written by Gance together with Nelly Kaplan and Roger Richebé, the 166-minute film boasts a large international cast including Claudia Cardinale, Jean Marais, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Rossano Brazzi, Martine Carol, Jack Palance, Vittorio De Sica, Orson Welles and Michel Simon.
