Ateşdağlı

Ateşdağlı is a 1985 Turkish drama film. It was directed by Temel Gürsu, with a screenplay by Safa Önal, known as one of the most prolific writers in Turkish cinema. The film stars Kadir İnanır, one of the leading male actors of the period.

The story follows a young man who, after his release from prison, is exiled to the coastal town of Çeşme. While trying to build a new life there, he falls in love with a woman, but his past refuses to let him go. A thug who wants him eliminated drags the hero into a tense confrontation in which he must protect both his love and his own life. The film brings together themes frequently used in 1980s Yeşilçam cinema: the lonely protagonist returning from prison and a reckoning resolved through violence.
