Şeyma Korkmaz — Biography

Şeyma Korkmaz is a Turkish actress born on 20 December 1988 in Eskişehir. She graduated from the Painting Teaching Department of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. She began her acting career in 2011 and became widely known for her role as Feride in the long-running Star TV series Beni Affet. In 2015 she moved into cinema with the film Öyle yada Böyle, and went on to appear in period productions such as Kuruluş Osman (2019) and Barbaros (2021). In 2022 she played Sude in the series Bir Küçük Gün Işığı, followed by the character Süreyya in Kardeşlerim in 2023. Chosen as the best actress of the Middle East and North Africa in 2018, Korkmaz married fellow actor Cüneyt Mete in 2019.
