Selen Seyven — Biography

Selen Seyven, born on 2 April 1986 in Ankara, is a Turkish actress. Born to an Uzbek mother and a Turkish father, Seyven studied theatre at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center after Yahya Kemal Beyatlı High School. She began her screen career with Büyük Buluşma (2004); she became known with the role of Pınar in Genco (2007) and then appeared in Doludizgin Yıllar (2008), directed by Osman Sınav.

She acted in series such as Kapalı Çarşı (2009), Avrupa Avrupa (2011), Leyla ile Mecnun (2011), Kocamın Ailesi (2014) and O Hayat Benim (2014), as well as in the feature films Janjan (2007) and Abimm (2009). In 2017 she portrayed the character Selen in Klavye Delikanlıları and also appeared in the series Avlu (2018). Seyven, who married in a surprise wedding in 2020 and became a mother in 2021, announced in 2026 that she had quit acting, voicing criticism of the series industry.
