Sanem Çelik — Biography

Sanem Çelik (born May 18, 1975, in Istanbul) is a Turkish theatre, film and television actress and ballerina. She studied first ballet and then acting at the Istanbul University State Conservatory, where she was a student of Yıldız Kenter and Haldun Dormen.

She made her screen debut with the film Yaban (1996), achieved her television breakthrough as Yasemin in the series Kara Melek (1997), and reached a wide audience with her leading role in Aliye (2004). On the big screen she appeared in Filler ve Çimen (2000) and Balık (2014), while on television she stood out as Ceylan in Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz (2015) and as Figen in Bir Litre Gözyaşı (2018).

After a long break, she returned to the screen as Dilşah in the series Aşk ve Gözyaşı (2025); she is also known for her voice-over work.
