Mehri Mehrnia — Biography

Mehri Mehrnia (born Fatemeh Marmouzian; October 31, 1917, Alasht – February 18, 2009, Tehran) was an Iranian actress whose work in film, theatre, and television spanned more than six decades.

She first appeared on screen in the early 1960s in productions such as A Traveler from Heaven and Ferhat ile Şirin, then built a long career as a character actress through the 1970s and 1980s in films including A Man for Rent and Otoboos. Later in her career she featured in the popular family film Kolah Ghermezi and Pesar Khaleh and the 2001 television series The Miracle of Marriage.

Mehrnia died in Tehran at the age of 91, remembered as one of the longest-active character actresses of Iranian cinema.
