Kutay Köktürk — Biography
Kutay Köktürk was born on 24 April 1948 in Adana. He comes from the theatre: over roughly thirty years on stage he appeared in 33 plays at nine theatres. In cinema he took part in 54 films, and on television he worked on 42 productions, close to 2,000 episodes in all.
His first notable film work dates from the mid-1980s: he played Levent in Yoksul, a cheat in Mr. Muhsin and the man at the painting exhibition in Ada. In later years he appeared in Manisa Tarzanı, Deli Divane, Bana Şans Dile, Mustafa Hakkında Herşey and Sağır Oda; in Mustafa Hakkında Herşey he played Kenan.
On television he played the lawyer Tahir in Saygılar Bizden. One of his most remembered roles is the Akıllı Deli character in the series Mahallenin Muhtarları. Besides acting, he has also contributed to some projects as a writer.
