Yaman Tarcan — Biography
Yaman Tarcan (January 1, 1959, Istanbul – May 2, 2009, Istanbul) was a Turkish theatre, film and television actor. He began his artistic career on the stage in 1979 and, after performing with various theatre companies, first appeared before the camera in the series Belene (1987). In cinema he gained international visibility as İlyas in Umuda Yolculuk (1990), and acted in films such as Ölürayak (1990), Mustafa Hakkında Herşey (2004) and Sis ve Gece (2006). On television he became widely known as Yanaşma Haydar in the series Asmalı Konak (2002), and also appeared in Köprü (2005) and Arka Sokaklar (2006). Tarcan passed away in Istanbul on May 2, 2009.
