Kubilay Aka — Biography
Kubilay Aka was born in Istanbul in 1995 and holds a degree in Airport Management from Eskişehir Anadolu University. Before turning to acting he worked at an airport operator in Muğla, where he met the talent manager Ufuk Ergin, who steered him toward an audition for a television series and whom he later married.
He debuted as Ali Kemal in the 2016 series Vatanım Sensin and soon moved into higher-profile productions. His role as Celasun in Çukur, which began in 2017, built his profile further; he went on to lead the film Aşk Bu Mu?, play Kerem in Netflix's Aşk 101 (2020), take further lead roles in Cam Tavanlar and Oğlum (2022), and appear in the 2024 film Zaferin Rengi.
As of 2026 he plays Aras opposite Hafsanur Sancaktutan and Bertan Asllani in the ATV series Mercan Köşk, one of the most visible stretches of his career so far; he has also appeared on stage in plays such as Hücreler and Fora, and recorded featured tracks for the Çukur soundtrack with Hayko Cepkin and Toygar Işıklı.
