Irmak Örnek — Biography

Irmak Örnek was born on 20 August 1987 in İzmir. After studying Public Relations and Advertising at İzmir University of Economics, she moved to Istanbul and completed a master's degree in advanced acting at Bahçeşehir University. Alongside acting she has also worked as a dancer and model. In 2012 she joined the City Theatres, gaining experience on stage.

She began her screen career in 2011 with the series Bizim Yenge. In 2012 she appeared in Zülfü Livaneli's film Veda and in the television series of the same name. On the big screen she played Ebru in the 2013 horror film Dabbe: Cin Çarpması and Aylin in Nadide Hayat in 2015.

Her real breakthrough came with Cesur ve Güzel, which began on Star TV in 2016 with Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and Tuba Büyüküstün in the leads. Playing Şirin Turhan, a close friend of Sühan, she became known both in Turkey and in the foreign countries where the series aired. In 2018 she played the character Yeter Öznur in the Kanal D series Bir Umut Yeter, and in 2021 she was part of the cast of İkimizin Sırrı. Örnek continues to work on new projects.
