Hande Kaptan — Biography

Hande Kaptan was born in 1985 in Ankara. She completed primary and secondary school at TED Ankara College, then in 2006 graduated simultaneously from the Public Administration Department of Gazi University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and from the Acting Department of Bilkent University's Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, before going on to complete a master's degree in Human Resources Management at Gazi University's Institute of Social Sciences.

She began acting in 2010 with the series Kollama, appearing the same year in Akasya Durağı, in 2011 in Muhteşem Yüzyıl, in 2012 in Benim İçin Üzülme, and in 2014 in Yılanların Öcü. She became known for the character Cennet in the 2016 series Şahane Damat, then in 2017 played Ezra in the ATV series İkisini de Sevdim, sharing the cast with Amine Gülşe, Burak Serdar Şanal, Mehmet Mehmedof and Erhan Yazıcıoğlu. She reached a career high in 2019-2020 playing the character Kadriye in the series Benim Adım Melek. A theatre-trained actress, she also works in presenting and voice-over alongside her film and television roles.
