Gülcan Arslan — Biography

Gülcan Arslan was born on 1 May 1986 in the Karasu district of Sakarya. Encouraged by her sister, who lived in Germany, she turned toward acting and trained in theatre at the Sadri Alışık Cultural Centre.

She made her on-screen debut in 2007 with the character Canan in the TRT1 series Sardunya Sokak, followed by roles in Sınıf (2008) and Kahramanlar (2009). In 2011 she took her first lead role in the series Herşeye Rağmen, and that same year also appeared in the series Bir Çocuk Sevdim and the film Entelköy Efeköy'e Karşı. She went on to play Inspector Leyla Candaş in Arka Sokaklar (2013), the character Saliha in Günahkar (2014), and a role in Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem (2015).

In 2017 she played the character Beril in Ölene Kadar, broadcast on ATV with leads Engin Akyürek and Fahriye Evcen. In the years since, she has taken part in productions such as Thank You, Next (2024) and Barbaros: Sword of the Mediterranean, and by 2026 she is part of the cast of the series Kimler Geldi Kimler Geçti, continuing her acting career.
