Gökhan Alkan — Biography

Gökhan Alkan was born in Istanbul on 8 December 1987 into an immigrant family. He earned an associate degree in automotive technology teaching at Kocaeli University and another in foreign trade and marketing at Anadolu University. In high school and university he acted with amateur theatre groups and gave live music performances. He trained at MSM Actor Studio and the Müjdat Gezen Art Center, also studying singing, solfège, poetry and commercial voice-over. After two seasons at the Müjdat Gezen Theatre he founded his own company, İstanbul Kumpanyası, with friends.

His television start came in 2011 as a guest in Muhteşem Yüzyıl, playing Shah Tahmasp. After Her Şey Yolunda and Gurbette Aşk Bir Yastıkta, the role of Tarık opposite Beren Gökyıldız in Kocamın Ailesi made him widely known. He led Seviyor Sevmiyor as Yiğit Balcı and Kalp Atışı as Ali Asaf Denizoğlu, then joined Yasak Elma. He went on to play Ferit Sancakzade in Kalp Yarası, Ateş Akça in Kraliçe and Arat Giraylı in Kül Masalı, and in late 2025 began filming the atv series Medeni Hâller.

On film he appeared in Defne'nin Bir Mevsimi, Makas and Organik Aşk Hikayeleri. His work in Seviyor Sevmiyor earned a Special Award at the APAN Star Awards in South Korea, and in 2017 he and Öykü Karayel won the Golden Butterfly for Best TV Couple.
