Fadik Sevin Atasoy — Biography

Fadik Sevin Atasoy was born on 1 October 1975 in Ankara, the daughter of actor Sönmez Atasoy, and was named after the play Fadik Kız, which her father was staging at the time. She first stepped on stage at the age of four in the İzmir State Theatre production of Teneke, a role that earned her a best actor award at a theatre festival. After appearing in children's programs on radio and TRT, she graduated from Bilkent University's School of Music and Performing Arts in 1998 and completed a scholarship-funded master's degree there. She then joined the State Theatres, became a permanent actress at the Antalya State Theatre, and pursued theatre training and research in England, France, Russia, and Bulgaria.

From the 2000s onward she built a film and television career, winning the Best Supporting Actress award at the 42nd Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival for O Şimdi Mahkum and the Best Actress award at the Ankara International Film Festival for Zeynep'in Sekiz Günü. Following her father's death in 2011, she settled in the United States, founded the production company RedCase Entertainment, and wrote and performed the internationally staged solo play MUSE 90401. She is best known on television as Şengül in the series Kardeşlerim, a role that brought her two awards. In 2025 she spoke publicly about undergoing treatment for breast cancer and later described taking up samurai training as part of a new chapter in her life.
