Behçet Nacar — Biography
Behçet Nacar, born Behçet Nacaroğlu (April 7, 1934, Istanbul – October 3, 2014, Istanbul), trained at the İstanbul Erkek Sanat Enstitüsü before entering Turkish cinema as an actor and producer. He made his name chiefly in action and adventure films through the late 1960s and 1970s.
After appearing in Köroğlu (1968) and the Malkoçoğlu series entries Akıncılar Geliyor (1969) and Cem Sultan (1970), Nacar soon became the star of his own run of adventure pictures, earning the nickname 'Parçala Behçet' ('Tear 'em up, Behçet'); Belanın Kralı, Beş Hergele, Hedefte İmzam Var, and Kızgın Güneş (all 1971) are among the best-known titles from this period.
When Nacar died in Istanbul in 2014, the Turkish press remembered him as one of Yeşilçam's beloved action stars.
