Batuhan Karacakaya — Biography

Turkish actor and architect Batuhan Karacakaya was born in İstanbul on February 5, 1997, and is a graduate of Şişli Ufuk Koleji. His acting career opened in 2005 with the part of Tunç in Büyük Buluşma; smaller parts followed in Beşinci Boyut, where he played both Arif and Emre, and in Bıçak Sırtı as Murat Ertuğrul. Wider recognition arrived between 2008 and 2010 through his portrayal of Bülent Ziyagil in Aşk-ı Memnu.

His film credits include Mert in Dersimiz Atatürk, Salih in Bekle Beni, and Özgür in Aşk Tesadüfleri Sever, along with the part of Mustafa in Uzun Hikaye. Television work continued with Sen de Gitme and Umutsuz Ev Kadınları before his highest-profile part yet, Dündar Bey in the 2016-2017 TRT 1 series Diriliş Ertuğrul.

Karacakaya has kept practicing architecture alongside acting, and since 2021 has taken part in four seasons of the reality competition Survivor, produced by Acun Ilıcalı: seventh place in the Ünlüler-Gönüllüler edition, third-place finishes in both the 2022 and 2024 All Star seasons, and runner-up in the 2025 All Star-Gönüllüler edition. He is in a relationship with Sinem Akar, which he shares publicly from time to time.
