Sinem Öztürk — Biography

Sinem Öztürk's given name is Gözde Sinem Öztürk; after marrying she has also gone by the surname Uslu. Born on 9 January 1985 in Istanbul, she finished Cağaloğlu Anatolian High School and graduated from the cinema department of Marmara University's Faculty of Fine Arts; over her career she has appeared in 26 short films and directed eight.

Known for playing Gamze in Arka Sıradakiler between 2007 and 2012, she won acclaim as Şükran in Huzur Sokağı (2012-2014); during the same period she hosted the design program Fikir Atölyesi on TRT Türk and directed an episode of the series Yeniden Başla in 2011. She appeared alongside Ali Sunal and Oya Başar in the film Yusuf Yusuf (2014), played Yasemin in Kiralık Aşk (2015-2016), and also took roles in Diriliş Ertuğrul, Ayla and Kurtlar Vadisi Vatan (2017).

Her first marriage, to Serkan Balbal, ended in 2010; she married businessman Gürsel Şatır in 2013 and separated a year later, then married advertising producer Mustafa Uslu in 2016, with whom she had twin sons, Mustafa and Kemal, in 2019. She lost her mother, Ferhan Zuhal Öztürk, to cancer in 2022, and returned to sets after a long break in 2024 as Nazan in Annem Ankara.
