Başak Köklükaya — Biography
Başak Köklükaya was born on April 19, 1974, in Ankara. After training at Hacettepe University, the ballet department of the Ankara State Conservatory, and the theatre department of Bilkent University, she began her acting career in 1993 with the series Yazlıkçılar.
She made her film debut in Hamam, directed by Ferzan Özpetek, and later starred in The Confession, which screened in the Un Certain Regard section of the 2002 Cannes Film Festival. Following films such as A Touch of Spice, Mustafa Hakkında Herşey, Organize İşler, Küçük Kıyamet and Süt, she reached wide audiences from 2019 onward playing Serap Özgürsoy in the Netflix series Atiye.
