The Confession (İtiraf)
The Confession (İtiraf) is a 2002 Turkish drama film written and directed by Zeki Demirkubuz and produced under his Mavi Filmcilik banner. It forms the second chapter of the director's Stories About Darkness trilogy, which began with Yazgı and continued with Bekleme Odası. The story follows Harun, a successful engineer who discovers that his wife Nilgün has been unfaithful. Rather than confronting the truth, he buries it inside, and the secret gradually becomes a heavy burden woven from pride, suspicion, and helplessness.
Taner Birsel and Başak Köklükaya lead the cast, with İskender Altın and Miraç Eronat also appearing. Running about 100 minutes, the film drew international attention when it screened in the Un Certain Regard section of the 2002 Cannes Film Festival.
