Aras Aydın — Biography

Aras Aydın, whose full name is Mehti Aras Aydın, is a Turkish actor of Circassian descent born in 1989 in Eskişehir, though some sources give his birth date as 4 January and his birthplace as Ankara. A graduate of the Istanbul University State Conservatory Theatre Department, he began his screen career in 2010 with the series Öğretmen Kemal. After roles in Şefkat Tepe and Saklı Kalan, he became widely known for playing Emre Yiğit in Kiraz Mevsimi. He played Polat Barutçu in İnadına Aşk during the 2015-2016 season, and in 2016 he both appeared in the series N'olur Ayrılalım and made his cinema debut with the film Oğlan Bizim Kız Bizim.

That same year he played Oğuz Bakır in the series Altınsoylar; he is also known as a musician who plays drums, guitar and piano, and in the 2018-2019 season he took the role of Ned in the play "Kalp" at Craft Tiyatro. He went on to appear in İkimizin Sırrı (2021), Kaçış (2022) and Aldatmak (2022), then played Nuh Çakırca in the 2024 series Valley of Hearts. He married fellow actor Melis Birkan in 2022, and after appearing alongside Nicole Kidman in an international production in 2025, he received the International Best Male Series Actor award at a ceremony in Venice.
