The Ambassador's Daughter (Sefirin Kızı) (translated)

Sefirin Kızı (The Ambassador's Daughter) is a Turkish drama series produced by O3 Medya and NGM and broadcast on Star TV. Directed by Emre Kabakuşak, it premiered on 16 December 2019 and ran for two seasons, ending with its 52nd episode on 11 May 2021. Filming took place in Muğla.

Set along the Aegean coast, the story follows Nare, the daughter of an ambassador, and Sancar, a boy from a poor background, whose romance begins during a childhood summer in Bodrum. For twelve years the two meet only briefly each summer while exchanging letters daily, until family pressure and turbulent events drive them apart. Whether their epic love can be revived despite every obstacle forms the heart of the series.

Engin Akyürek and Neslihan Atagül originally shared the lead roles, but Atagül left after 36 episodes due to health problems and was replaced by Tuba Büyüküstün. Uraz Kaygılaroğlu also appears in the cast. The series attracted international attention and was aired in Hungary with Hungarian dubbing.
