Abbas Mehrdadian — Biography

Abbas Mehrdadian was born on November 15, 1934, in Tehran and died in 1988. He was a film actor active in Iranian cinema during the pre-revolutionary “Film Farsi” era of the 1960s and 1970s.

He began his career with productions such as “Ba-marefatha” (1963), “Rural Songs” (1964), and “Hot Shame” (1965), and reached wider audiences with the 1967 films “Alibaba” and “Sorrows and Joys.” Between 1968 and 1971 he appeared frequently in the popular Iranian melodramas and comedies of the period, including “Ghahreman-ye Shahre-ma,” “Velgardha,” “Three Escapees,” “Scandal of Love,” and “Ehsas-e Dagh,” and continued acting through the 1976 film “Mard dar Atash.”
