Gholamhossein Bahmanyar — Biography

Gholamhossein Bahmanyar was born in Tehran in 1927 and worked for decades as a character actor in Iranian film, television and theatre. During the 1960s, alongside performers such as Taghi Zohouri and Seyyed Ali Miri, he was among the most sought-after supporting actors cast to deliver comic relief opposite a film's lead. His career stretched from 1950 into the late 1970s across roughly thirty films. He died in Tehran on 15 December 1999.
