The Track
The Track (original title: La Traque) is a 1975 French-Italian co-production directed by Serge Leroy, blending thriller and drama. The screenplay was written by André-Georges Brunelin.
The story follows a young Englishwoman who moves to a French village near the university where she is due to teach. Joining a local man she has befriended and his companions on a wild boar hunt, she is assaulted and, as she struggles to defend herself and reach the police, the hunters begin pursuing her across fields and woods like prey. This relentless manhunt drives the film's tension.
Mimsy Farmer leads the cast, alongside Jean-Luc Bideau, Jean-Pierre Marielle, Michael Lonsdale, Michel Constantin, Philippe Léotard, and Françoise Brion.
