The Overtaxed
I tartassati, known in English as The Overtaxed, is a 1959 Italian-French co-production comedy directed by Stefano Vanzina, better known as Steno. The screenplay was written by Aldo Fabrizi, who also appears in the film, together with Roberto Gianviti and Ruggero Maccari, and the leading roles are played by Totò and Louis de Funès.
Originally shot in Italian, the film was released in France under the title Fripouillard et Cie. The 105-minute picture also features period regulars such as Ignazio Leone, Jacques Dufilho, Ciccio Barbi, Nando Bruno and Fernand Sardou alongside its two stars.
