The Man in the Buick

The Man in the Buick (original title L'Homme à la Buick) is a 1968 French crime comedy directed by Gilles Grangier, who also wrote the screenplay. The film, which runs roughly 93 minutes, pairs two celebrated names of French cinema, Fernandel and Danielle Darrieux, in its leading roles, with Michael Lonsdale and Laure Paillette also appearing in the cast. Taking its title from the Buick automobile that figures in the story, the picture is among the later works of Grangier's long directing career and continues the comic tradition of French cinema of the 1960s.
