The Dinner

The Dinner (original title La cena) is a 1998 Italian-French comedy directed by Ettore Scola, who co-wrote the screenplay with Furio Scarpelli and Giacomo Scarpelli. Shot in Italian and running about 126 minutes, the film features a large ensemble cast that includes Fanny Ardant, Stefania Sandrelli and Venantino Venantini. The film earned recognition at the Nastro d'Argento awards: the male ensemble received the prize for Best Supporting Actor, while Stefania Sandrelli won the award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance.
