Paparazzi
Paparazzi is a 2004 American action thriller directed by Paul Abascal and written by Forry Smith. Produced through Mel Gibson's company Icon Productions, the film stars Cole Hauser alongside Robin Tunney, Dennis Farina, Daniel Baldwin and Tom Sizemore.
At the center of the story is Bo Laramie, a Hollywood action star at the height of his fame whose every move is shadowed by tabloid photographers. When four of these relentless cameramen trigger a car accident that leaves Bo and his family fighting for their lives, the actor loses faith in official protection. Consumed by rage, he decides to settle the score himself and begins hunting down the men who turned his private life into a public spectacle. A determined detective starts to suspect that the string of misfortunes befalling the photographers is no coincidence.
Mel Gibson and Chris Rock turn up in small cameo appearances. Made on a budget of roughly twenty million dollars, the film opened in American cinemas in early September 2004, where it met with poor reviews and disappointing box office returns.
